2006 Designer of the Year at A Floral Affair

Erin Orlando, lead designer and manager of A Floral Affair, is Teleflora's 2006 Designer of the Year for the DC, VA and MD area. Erin was one of three Capitol Cup Finalists competing for Designer of the Year with one silk and two fress arrangements. The winning sild arrangement, a transitional holiday door hanging is on display in the window of A Floral Affair. Erin won a cash prize, plaque, and a Capitol Cup full of roses. She also has the privilege of creating next year's holiday design show at Teleflora's 2007 unit meeting.

Erin started work at A Floral Affair in 2001 after completing a floral design class through NOVA taught by A Floral Affair's owner, Carol Kalbfleisch. She was hired as a clerk, but quickly became one of the designers and eventually lead designer and manager. A Floral Affair is owned by Carol and Larry Kalbfleisch who are proud to have the area's top designer in their shop.
